About Flame Japanese Hibachi

Sizzling, Grilling, & Thrilling...

Located at 5707 N University Dr, Tamarac, FL 33321, Flame Japanese Hibachi operates as a japanese serving Tamarac in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Tamarac, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Florida run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 am–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Hailey the manager is amazing! She greeted me as soon as I entered the restaurant. She was personable and shared some of her favorites om the menu. The meal as delicious! I got salmon and shrimp with vegetables and fried rice. It comes with one yum yum sauce. 10/10 I will be back!

The place was clean, the staff was nice and friendly, they helped place my first order. I had a sample bite of everything I ordered and the food was good. The mango passion fruit drink was on point.

Unfortunately, this was far from hibachi—if you can even call it that. Honestly, it was one of the worst “Japanese hibachi” meals I’ve ever had. Everything seemed pre-cooked, especially the chicken, which looked like it had already been made and was just thrown on the grill for a few seconds before being served. Nothing tasted fresh or made to order. The noodles were hard as a rock (see the photos), and the dumplings were dried out, like they had been sitting around all day waiting for someone to order them. Yes, it was inexpensive—about $15 for five dumplings, noodles, fried rice, and chicken—but I’d honestly rather eat food court Chinese food at the mall. It would better than this. The restaurant itself also didn’t seem very clean. It felt run-down, and for a place that’s supposed to be new. Don’t base your decision on the TikTok hype. The rice had almost no flavor, the noodles had no flavor either, and everything just tasted greasy. Every bite felt like a mouthful of oil. I definitely would not recommend this place.

I ordered my food online and it said available after 12. When I arrived at the store, I saw that they actually opened up at 11. When I walked in I was not acknowledged. So I sat and waited for my food. An elderly Gentlemen Came in to place an order and was told to go to the kiosk- he looked confused. The girl said I’m making sushi rolls, but I can help you in five minutes. Meanwhile, 10 minutes comes by and people place orders in front of him on the kiosk. I asked him can I please help you place your order on the kiosk, in which I did and he was very grateful. 20 minutes goes by and I’m still waiting on my pick up order. The cook is telling this girl that she needs to get that orders out as he stacking containers high in the kitchen and yet she’s still making sushi rolls with about five people are out there waiting for their food. I finally got my food and the gentleman who gave it to me. I’m not sure if he was Indian or Spanish descent was very nice. He apologize for the wait time. Finally get to my food and I open it and all you could smell as old oil and the look of it is un appealing. I got one chicken hibachi, and the other tray was chicken with beef hibachi. I don’t Underst

Reviews do not lie! This place is amazing. The food was so good! I can’t wait to go back. My food was fresh and tasted amazing. Only thing I would say is to give more yum yum sauce.
